Hopefully those of you in the United States had a happy Fourth last week. To celebrate, The First Purge opened up in theaters. This is the fourth movie in the franchise and serves as a prequel. (If you're a Patreon supporter at the Jimmy Olsen level or higher, you can hear a bonus podcast on the third movie--The Purge: Election Year). Of course Ant-Man and the Wasp also opened in theaters. We finally find out why Scott Lang wasn't in Infinity War...not that it was really a big mystery.

It's now officially summer. That means it's time for the summer blockbuster movies. Often that means sequels in the big movie franchises. Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom has smashed its way into movie theaters. Along with talk about dinosaurs, there's also a look at the latest batch of episodes of Netflix's The Ranch. The latest Star Wars stand-alone movie is finally here. This is the movie, it seems, many wanted to hate before it was even released. Find out which side of the fence we stand on. Star Wars: The Last Jedi was also re-watched as well as completing the novel adaptation. Deadpool 2 was seen again, and there were a couple things we forgot to mention last time. If that wasn't enough, there's talk on a 2017 movie called Eliose, which is about an insane asylum in Michigan. It stars Eliza Dushku and Chace Crawford and was pretty weird. There is no need to be quiet about how great A Quiet Place is. This movie was one of those pleasant surprises that kicks your butt as you watch. You can hear about it, including some spoilers, at the end of the episode. If you haven't watched it yet, fix that as soon as possible.
There's also some brief thoughts on the return of Legion and current happenings on Agents of SHIELD. You can also hear some thoughts on the first couple of episodes of Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events (on Netflix) and Charles Soule's new novel, The Oracle Year. Somehow in the comics discussion area, DC Comics were skipped. That's what happens when the discussion goes out of order even though it's a long episode. Really really sorry about that.
