There's also the freaky Netflix ten-episode series, Maniac, starring Emma Stone and Jonah Hill (and others). Critics seemed to love or hate the show. There is a lot to talk about on this week's episode. Hopefully you had time to watch Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan on Amazon. If not, you don't have to worry about spoilers. There's just a basic impression on how the show is. The movie feature is Peppermint with Jennifer Garner. It's a "revenge movie" but with a woman rather than the typical action dude in the lead. Adventure Time's final episode has aired, and there is a little, again non-spoilery, talk about it and the show. If that wasn't enough, a lot of cool comic books were released as well!

Seems it pretty much dominated the box office this weekend as well. Unexpectedly, I ended up watching The Spy Who Dumped Me as well. Hopefully those of you in the United States had a happy Fourth last week. To celebrate, The First Purge opened up in theaters. This is the fourth movie in the franchise and serves as a prequel. (If you're a Patreon supporter at the Jimmy Olsen level or higher, you can hear a bonus podcast on the third movie--The Purge: Election Year). Of course Ant-Man and the Wasp also opened in theaters. We finally find out why Scott Lang wasn't in Infinity War...not that it was really a big mystery.
